Brodarica and Krapanj
Brodarica
is a small tourist town located by the Adriatic road. It
is surrounded by the city of Šibenik, hatchery ground in Morinjski
gulf and nine small islands. It has three thousand inhabitants whose
main activity are tourism, fishing, sponge harvesting, and agriculture.
In the town and on the nearby islands there are numerous smaller
stony and sandy beaches. Brodarica, as well as the island Krapanj
have typical Mediterranean climate. Summer temperatures are approximately
30C.
Krapanj
is the smallest, shortest and the least inhabited island in the
Mediterranean, known for its traditional fishing and sponge harvesting
and processing.
Only 300 m is separating Krapanj from its nearest mainland - Brodarica.
Traditional occupation of Krapanj inhabitants is sponge harvesting,
thus you can find ten active crews for sponge fishing and smaller
plants for their processing.
Two

(15 km) and Kornati (18 km). Nearby city of Šibenik has very rich
cultural and historical heritage, while the Solaris hotel only 2
